We are currently looking for a Programme Manager for Engineering Solutions to join our team in Libin, Belgium.
This role will act as the key link between the Director of Operations and the Engineering Managers. You will foresee, together with the Engineering Managers, projects and deliveries related to engineering solutions (cybersecurity, cyber for space, tailored engineering solutions and custom design).
Additionally, you will work closely with the Programme Manager for Services, as well as with Nexova's top management, to ensure the development of the business and operational strategy and suggest continuous improvement.
Tasks and Activities
The scope of work will include:
- Lead and manage project managers of our Engineering Solutions department.
- Ensure alignment of projects, programmes, roadmaps, and skill development with Nexova's business and operational strategies.
- Align cross-functional teams around a unified vision while incorporating the unique perspectives of all stakeholders.
- Manage efficiently the pool of resources and ensure their optimal allocation across the multiple projects, in close collaboration with the PMO.
- Develop and maintain programme delivery roadmaps, consolidate interdependencies, and oversee their successful execution.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate programme risks to ensure smooth delivery.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within the defined scope, and within the allocated budget.
- Establish, together with the PMO, clear programme tracking mechanisms and provide transparent reporting on project status, delivery progress, budgets, risks, and issues. Ensure clear and complete communication to Nexova’s top management and escalate issues when needed, in accordance with the group governance standards,.
- Drive strategic planning initiatives to develop and execute plans that achieve key programme goals and objectives.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, clients, and vendors, to facilitate successful programme delivery.
- Enhance departmental efficiency by setting measurable continuous improvement milestones and driving operational excellence.
Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- At least 5 years proven experience in Project or Programme Management in IT or Engineering, with a strong track record in delivering large-scale, complex projects/programmes.
- Experience in managing complex budgets and P&L.
- Solid understanding of programme management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Prince) and service delivery (e.g. ITIL).
- People manager who lead by example and is willing to coach or guide his/her colleagues
- Proactive and results-driven mindset with a “can-do” attitude.
- Innovative thinker with a creative, out-of-the-box approach.
- Self-motivated with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Team-oriented with a positive outlook and the ability to constructively challenge ideas.
